We're always asked about our recipes and thought it would be a great idea to get them into an actual recipe book, so we're doing it. And we're delighted to announce that as of the 31st October 2024 it really is an actual book!
A donation will be made from the sale of every book to Velindre, our local cancer centre that supported Angharad with breast cancer treatment and is the sanctuary of so many in South Wales, it's our Hospital of Hope.
We're posting out as of the 17th November and we're already getting some lovely feedback:

"The preservation society book arrived on a cold and damp day in Bolton and reading through it cheered me up!  Can’t wait for my crops to grow next year so I can try them out! Thank you for sharing these wonderful recipes."

On BBC Radio Wales 22nd November 2024, the gorgeous Eleri Sion deemed the Buttery and Boozy Mincemeat "Better than Sex" and I absolutely agree although I did have to leave her the very last jar ever!

"If you've been to @afoodfestival over the last decade, there's a high probability you left with a jar from The Preservation Society made by my friend @angharadtps
Angharad is a truly wonderful human, a brilliant preserver and teacher. After years of standing over bubbling pans, she hung up her making apron this summer, not before she listened to my ridiculously wise advice that she should write a book of her recipes so her devoted fans could make their own jars at home. And she jolly well has done just that creating the most delicious and easy to follow book of her incredible jars of flavour. If you've had one of her products I know you'll want her book - it's also the perfect treat for Christmas presents.
My husband is quite a hard to impress type but his love of her candied jalapeños is very real and if a cynical grown man's whoop of excitement at the inclusion of the recipe for them isn't endorsement enough for you to order a copy then I jolly well don't know what is." Huge thanks to the brilliant Liz Knight from Forage Fine Foods xxxx

"Your book is just fabulous, the recipe for the much coveted and often bought candid jalapeños is well received. So much care went into writing and packaging your beautiful book, especially the handwritten note. "

And the incredible Charlotte Pike MBE, Food Writer, has added our book to her Winter recommendations......"

Looking at preserving now, Forest of Dean-based preserver Angharad Underwood has just produced a delightful new book: The Preservation Society’s Preserving Book of Brilliance. For over 15 years, Angharad has run The Preservation Society, making a beautiful range of preserves that have won a great number of awards over the years. Now, she has generously shared her amazing recipes (think candied jalapeños, her multi-award wining ‘Buttery, boozy mincemeat’ and plum and Cuban rum jelly) into one book, which she is selling to raise money for the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff. Angharad received treatment there and this book will continue her fundraising for the centre. This is such a gorgeous book, full of wonderful, vibrant recipes and all for a great cause. Please visit The Preservation Society website to order directly from Angharad." Thank you xxx
