Lord Lambourne's Scrumpy Butter with Calvados - Great Taste Award
Our Lord Lambourne's Scrumpy Butter with Calvados is Great Taste Award winning and made from delicious Swap Cropped heritage Lord Lambourne apples from our friend Paul Gowen's family tree, this year his 85 year old Mum is a little too frail to pick them but next door neighbours were roped in. His Mum will be delighted that their beloved apples are going into jars of deliciousness.
And it's all about apples - we cook the heritage Lord Lambourne apples in local Three Saints Cider vinegar and Three Saints cider until soft before pushing through a mouli, cooking again with a small amount of sugar and adding Calvados (French Apple Brandy) right at the end.
It's great with slow roast goose and roast potatoes, lovely with blue cheese and incredible on buttered crumpets and vanilla ice cream too.
Ingredients: Lord Lambourne apples 44%, local Three Saints cider Vinegar 9%, scrumpy cider 9%, sugar and Calvados (apple brandy) 2%.
Allergen Advice: Please see ingredients list, and remember that all of our delicious products are produced in a kitchen where we use nuts & mustards.
